One of the reasons I set up Stickybit was so that I could spend more time on Drupal. One of the things that I want to do is to write more complete documentation for FormsAPI. You see Drupal has one of the best features of any CMS out there, automatic form handling. FormsAPI makes it so easy to make simple forms and process the results, but it's also flexible enough to be used to create complex multipage, multipathed forms. There's a lot of power there that many users just don't know about.
Current documentation is not bad, in fact it is very good, but is essentially an API reference with everything stuffed onto one page, along with a quickstart guide. There are some bits in the handbook, but nothing of any substance. I aim to change that.
The documentation in the handbooks needs to be much, much better. However, writing documentation on drupal.org using the BlueBeach theme is a real pain, and actually makes reading it afterwards hard. So I'm thinking that maybe I need to provide a separate, easily navigable, site until d.o gets its act together.
Keep reading the blog over the next few months to keep up with my progress!
